A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to get some veg tanned horse butt strips from Horween that were big enough to produce a messenger bag. Here is what it looked like then. I wonder what it looks like today. This stuff develops a great patina.

Great looking bag, it is for sale?
This one is sold. Unfortunately veg tanned horsebutt is very hard to come by in big enough sizes to make a bag. I haven’t been able to source it big enough for some time. I do have veg tanned steer hide that also makes a nice bag.
